AI safety — the field that aims to prevent powerful AI systems from causing serious harm — is still small, and researchers, policymakers and practitioners rarely end up in the same room. You don't decide what gets discussed here, but a well-organised Quorum conference is often where they get to know each other and start collaborations that probably wouldn't have happened otherwise.
