- Doing good is hard. Doing the most good is harder. Some ways of helping do far more good than others. The gap between typical and best can be enormous.
- A question, taken seriously. How can we do the most good with our: Time, Money, Skills. We look for answers with evidence and careful reasoning, and keep updating as we learn more.
- A community that started small. In 2017, a small group in the Netherlands took up that question. Today, hundreds of people across the country are part of it.
- How people here make a difference. Give: Donating to charities with strong evidence of impact. Work: Choosing careers that tackle the world's most pressing problems. Advocate: Making the case for evidence and careful reasoning, and for effective solutions to large, neglected problems. Connect: Coming together to learn, question and sharpen our thinking.
- Wherever you are, there's a next step. Explore: Articles, events and casual meetups. Learn: A free five-week intro course with a small group. Connect: Our WhatsApp community, office and events like EAGx. Act: Careers, giving, advocacy and volunteering, with support along the way.
- What holds us together. We don't have all the answers. These are the habits we use to look for them. Prioritisation: Focusing on what matters most. Impartial altruism: Caring about everyone who needs help. Open truth-seeking: Questioning and updating our beliefs. Collaboration: Working together to do more good.
- Doing good better, together. You care about making a difference. We'd love to help you do it better.
What do we do?
We're building a community of effective altruists who seek out the best ways to make a difference — questioning assumptions, learning from evidence, and continuously refining how good can be done.

We help newcomers explore effective altruism and find their own way to make a difference. Our course offers the tools and insights to contribute effectively to a better world.
An excellent course that inspired me to delve deeper into the greatest challenges of our time and how I can contribute to addressing them effectively. The rational approach, combined with space for open, critical discussions within an inspiring group, made it particularly valuable.
