Why this is on the board
Research into the safety of AI systems only helps once policymakers, journalists and other researchers know about it, and small research groups rarely have someone who translates it for a broad audience. With videos, pieces under your own name and collaborations with creators, you make sure findings don't stay stuck in academic papers; it is an entry-level role that includes administrative work too, but one clear video often reaches more people than the paper it is based on.
