Why this is on the board
GiveDirectly gives money directly to people in extreme poverty, an approach that independent charity evaluators recommend. In this role you set up the systems for registration, verification and payment in new programmes. Every choice in them is repeated across thousands of recipients, and the organisation is now building those systems for roughly ten times its current scale.
