Software Engineer II (Java) - Financial Products
AdyenAmsterdam
Why this is on the board
The work itself, payment systems for companies like Uber and H&M, doesn't tackle an urgent problem. The leverage is in the salary: if you deliberately give a fixed share of it to charities with strong evidence, such as malaria prevention, you can probably help more people through those donations than through the work itself. This approach is called earning to give, and it only works if you actually give the money away.
