This work on radio links for a trading firm does not solve an urgent problem itself: the leverage lies only in what you earn and give away. If you consistently donate a large part of a trading salary with profit-sharing to well-researched charities (earning to give), you can contribute more than in many roles at a charity. The vacancy does not mention any figures, however, and without that choice it is simply a technical job.

About the role
Optiver builds long-range HF communication systems whose design and optimisation directly influence end-to-end trading performance. We are looking for an RF Systems Engineer to design, integrate, characterise and improve the analogue subsystems behind these systems.
