Why this is on the board
The work itself, building trading software for a trading firm, does not contribute to an urgent problem; the leverage lies in the salary, which here is usually well above what charities can pay. If you consistently give a large share of it to well-researched charities (earning to give), you can fund the work of several people, but only if you keep giving for years.
This board is in beta and this is our judgement. If you think we have it wrong, tell us. Give feedback · How we reason about it
About the role
At IMC, technology is not a department; it’s at the heart of everything we do. Developed in house, our innovative software makes millions of trading decisions daily, and we win by making better and faster decisions than our competition.
