Why this is on the board
The work itself, payment data for companies such as Uber and H&M, does not advance any pressing problem, and we would rather say so honestly. The leverage lies in the salary: someone who takes a leadership role like this with a firm plan to donate a sizeable share to well-evidenced charities (earning to give) can fund work each year that would otherwise not happen, but only if the giving actually happens.
