Why this is on the board
A grants fund can only assess as many applications as its assessors have time for. Every hour they spend on administration and checks is an hour not spent on the question of which project deserves support. As Grants Associate you take that work off their hands and make sure millions of dollars in donations reach the recipients with due care. You don't choose where the money goes, but you do help decide how much the fund can handle now that it is growing fast.

About the role
The Centre for Effective Altruism (CEA) stewards the movement of people putting effective altruism principles into practice to solve the world's most pressing problems.
