Graduate FPGA Engineer (2027 Start)
OptiverAmsterdam
Why this is on the board
The work itself, making trading systems a few nanoseconds faster, helps no one directly; the leverage is in the salary, which at trading firms like Optiver quickly rises well above an ordinary starting salary through profit sharing. If you deliberately choose to give a large share of that income every year to well-researched charities (earning to give), you can contribute far more than with the job alone, but that only works if you actually keep the giving up.

About the role
As an FPGA Engineer, you’ll work side-by-side with teammates to build real-world applications that power a global trading firm. You’ll create solutions with nanosecond response times, highly parallelized algorithms, and customized low-level networking that solve business challenges effectively and efficiently. Collaborating closely with our business, you’ll have in-depth insight into a problem before developing the solution.
