Why this is on the board
GiveDirectly gives money with no strings attached directly to people in extreme poverty, and several independent evaluators recommend it. How much reaches those people therefore depends mostly on how much the organisation raises. In this role you don't recruit donors yourself. You build the systems the whole fundraising team works with, such as donor management, forecasting and figures, so every improvement you make carries through into the work of all your colleagues.
