Why this is on the board
FAR.AI's researchers test frontier models for OpenAI and the EU AI Office, but that work grinds to a halt as soon as the GPU cluster falters. Whoever sets the technical direction of that infrastructure here helps determine how many experiments dozens of researchers can run per year — and how secure a cluster is on which AI agents carry out research themselves.
