Why this is on the board
GiveDirectly has transferred more than a billion dollars directly to people in poverty since 2011. In this role you work alongside the chief financial officer on the planning and analysis that determine how that money is allocated: every percentage point you gain in accuracy or efficiency is money that reaches someone instead of going to overhead.

GiveDirectly has delivered more than $1B in cash directly to 2+ million people living in poverty across 15 countries since 2011. We believe cash transfers are one of the most scalable, cost-effective, and dignified forms of aid, with the research to back it up.
