As a lawyer here, you help write the rules every livestock farmer in the Netherlands has to follow: how a political decision on manure, nitrogen or the future of livestock farming is set down in law determines what actually changes in the barns. Not every one of the six positions bears directly on animal welfare, but you are at the table before the policy is fixed, so at the point when there is still something to choose.
