This adviser maps the large, high-risk ICT projects of two ministries and their implementing agencies and helps decide which ones get their course adjusted. In this way you influence how dependent the government becomes on systems and suppliers. The CIO office has around 45 people for both ministries, so one adviser carries a lot of weight here — though it remains supporting work, not AI policy itself.
