This role is on our board because we think it is an unusually effective way to spend a career. How we reason about it

This board is still in beta. The reason below is our judgement — tell us if you think we have it wrong. Give feedback
Why this is on the board
The Centre for Effective Altruism (CEA) runs conferences, courses and local groups for people working out how to help others most with their work or money. Sign-ups, courses and grant applications all run through Salesforce. So you won't set the direction, but you will determine how much time 66 colleagues lose to systems instead of the work itself.
About the role
We're looking for a Salesforce Developer to join our team. This role is responsible for customizing and building applications on our Salesforce platform that keep CEA's flagship programs running smoothly and enable the wider team to achieve ambitious growth goals, expanding EA’s talent pipelines and scaling our impact. This is an individual contributor position on our Salesforce Team, reporting to the Salesforce Engineer, Ari Elkhatib, and collaborating closely with the Events, Online, Groups…

What do you make of this?
The board is still in beta, so this is exactly the moment to say what you think. A vacancy we have missed, a judgement you do not share, something that does not work — all of it helps.
Curious?
If you want to know how we arrive at this list, we run a short intro course and a newsletter. Neither costs anything.
