Why this is on the board
As a supervisory board member you do not run projects yourself, but you appoint and assess the executive board and approve the multi-year plans of an organisation that has been fighting poverty in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East for fifty years. With five meetings a year, you help decide where the whole organisation's money goes, and you check that it is well spent.
