Why this is on the board
In a small team, the two directors' time is often the bottleneck: every hour of scheduling, travel and admin you take over is an hour they can spend on the conversations and meetings through which AI Safety Connect brings people and knowledge together around AI safety, the work of keeping powerful AI systems safe. What this role achieves therefore depends mainly on what they do with that freed-up time.
