Why this is on the board
University groups are the first step towards AI safety work for many people, and Kairos provides most of the support those groups currently receive. In this role you decide where $9.5 million goes over the next two years: which groups are added, which organisers receive support and which regions you start in. You are steering not one career, but the intake of an entire field.
