This role is on our board because we think it is an unusually effective way to spend a career. How we reason about it

This board is still in beta. The reason below is our judgement — tell us if you think we have it wrong. Give feedback
Why this is on the board
For many people, the online programmes of the Centre for Effective Altruism (CEA) are their first encounter with the question of how to help others as well as possible with your work or your money. In this role you decide which programmes run and measure whether participants do anything differently afterwards. What works you scale up, what doesn't you stop, and that choice determines what each next group of participants is offered.
About the role
Owns a virtual events portfolio, treating online events as products to be designed, tested and scaled rather than conference replicas.

What do you make of this?
The board is still in beta, so this is exactly the moment to say what you think. A vacancy we have missed, a judgement you do not share, something that does not work — all of it helps.
