Why this is on the board
At a small gathering of donors, researchers and journalists, collaborations and funding decisions come about that otherwise would not have happened, or only later. So who you invite and what you have them talk about helps decide where money and people go, and for many the online programmes are their first encounter with effective altruism: how they look partly determines who stays and later goes on to work on global health, animal welfare or AI safety.
