Why this is on the board

How quickly the Netherlands detects and contains the next pandemic depends largely on choices being made now, between two crises: the revision of the Wet publieke gezondheid, the national direction of the regional GGD health services and the RIVM, and the exchange of data. This director leads that work and so sets the rules the whole chain will operate within, for a risk that gets little political attention as long as it fails to materialise.

What do you make of this?

The board is still in beta, so this is exactly the moment to say what you think. A vacancy we have missed, a judgement you do not share, something that does not work — all of it helps.
