Why this is on the board
Few people yet work on AI safety, making sure advanced AI systems remain safe, and many got there through a course, a study group or a conversation at their university. As chapter director you build such an entry point in a new city: what you deliver is not mainly your own work, but the students, researchers and – in The Hague – policymakers who find their way into the field through your team.
